A working meeting was held at the MTWTU office between the MTWTU Chairman, Oleg Grygoriuk, and the Head of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, Yuriy Lytvyn.

With the assistance of the Marine Transport Workers’ Trade Union of Ukraine, the MTWTU and the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority represented Ukraine in the Portworker Development Programme in Bulk Terminals (PDPII), launched by the International Labour Organization. The training took place at the Busan Port Training Institute, which is the best expert institution for training port workers in Korea.

The Marine Transport Workers' Trade Union of Ukraine (MTWTU) participated in the Trade Union Summit for Ukraine organized by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC). It took place on April 22-23 in Lublin (Poland) and brought together about 120 representatives of various European trade unions.

The Marine Transport Workers' Trade Union of Ukraine held a meeting of authorized representatives on occupational safety and health dedicated to the World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

Holidays are not only a time of rest from school workloads, but also a period of exciting adventures and cultural enrichment. Thanks to the initiative of the Local Trade Union Organization of the Izmail Sea Commercial Port, the port workers' children were able to enjoy bright activities aimed at their development and fun.

The MTWTU took part in the Congress of the Maritime Section of the SEKO sister trade union (Sweden). The leaders of this trade union were among the first to support the MTWTU since the beginning of Russia's aggression.

At the MTWTU's initiative and with the assistance of the ITF-ETF SOLIDARITY FUND, Ukrainian transport workers, MTWTU members, will receive assistance in the form of 1,500 food sets.

A meeting with sailors was held at the Maritime Union Center, during which "Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company" was presented.

As part of the project, another informational meeting was held on modern approaches to motivating trade union membership and creating a favorable social and psychological climate in teams and the trade union environment for MTWTU members - local leaders, members of trade union committees, and active members of the Union.

The Marine Transport Workers' Trade Union of Ukraine and the Danish Trade Union 3F are implementing their second joint project.

On the way to joining the EU, Ukraine has to implement European legislation and European norms into Ukrainian legislation. Therefore, the process of updating labor legislation is currently underway, including discussions on the projects of the Labor Code, the law on social dialogue, collective labor disputes, and many other regulatory legal acts related to labor relations.

В Одесі пройшло VI засідання Центральної ради ПРМТУ.

Наприкінці 2022 року, одразу після деокупації міста Херсон, відбулося масове вивільнення працівників Херсонської філії ДП «Адміністрація морських портів України» за новою нормою КЗпП України — п.6 ч.1 ст.41 (неможливість забезпечення працівників роботою внаслідок бойових дій).

7 листопада в Одесі за підтримки Професійної спілки робітників морського транспорту України в рамках спільного проєкту Координаційного центру допомоги морякам (КЦДМ) та Міжнародної організації праці (МОП), відбувся круглий стіл на тему «Охорона праці та здоров’я робітників морського транспорту України: запобігання розповсюдженню ВІЛ, мобінгу та дискримінації».
