The MTWTU representatives regularly visit vessels manned with Ukrainian seafarers, calling the ports of Ukraine. The ships covered by the MTWTU collective agreements are also often guests to our ports, where Ukrainian crews of these vessels are registered with the Union. In such cases, the Union strives to please the seafarers with fresh news from home, the latest issues of the Maritime Magazine and present souvenirs.
The MTWTU and the ITF Inspector in Ukraine also visit ships, not covered by any ITF agreements, and inspect working and living conditions onboard for compliance with the minimum international standards. If it turns out that certain norms have been violated, our experts take measures to resolve the violations as soon as possible.
