Amendments to IBF and ITF Lists of Designated Risk Areas
In the context of the unveiling military conflict in Ukraine, please be advised that following an agreement reached with the Joint Negotiating Group of employers (JNG) and further consultations with ITF Officers, the IBF List of Warlike and High Risk Areas has been amended to include 3 new designations:
Addressed ICS and IMEC
Addressed ICS and IMEC with a request to help insure Ukrainian seafarers on ships worldwide are granted additional access to the Internet and phone calls.
Appealed to the ITF and ITF Cruise Ship Task Force
Appealed to the ITF and ITF Cruise Ship Task Force to ensure cruise lines avoid calling the Russian ports.

The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) and the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) call for an immediate ceasefire in hostilities, for the conflict to return to the diplomatic level, and respect for international human rights and humanitarian law, following the military escalation in Ukraine.
