The MTWTU continuously develops the potential of youth by involving them in trade union activities.
Youth actively participate in decision-making and have the opportunity to be represented in the Union’s elected bodies.
The organization helps youth acquire the skills necessary for personal and trade union development.
The MTWTU youth movement began in 2002, when the first steps were taken to involve young people in trade union life.
Some enterprises of the industry included a section on “Working with Youth” in their Collective Bargaining Agreements, which provided a basis for active support for young people.
This section provided for the expansion of rights and guarantees for working youth, including socio-economic protection, professional growth, decent wages, and the restoration of the mentorship institute.
Promotes the improvement of youth policy and the modernization of the trade union movement in the maritime industry.
The Youth Council focuses on progressive change and dynamic action.
Development and improvement of youth policy in the maritime industry.
The Council works to renew and modernize the trade union movement.
Particular attention is paid to supporting youth trade union initiatives.
An important aspect of our work is collaboration with partners to achieve common goals.
Representatives of the MTWTU Youth Council are members of youth associations of the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF), the European Transport Workers' Federation (ETF), and the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine.
MTWTUYouth is a community of active maritime youth within the structure of the PRMTU, working together with Chairman Oleg Grygoriuk. Here you can unlock your potential, hone your leadership and professional skills, find like-minded people, and become part of a team that is shaping the future of Ukraine's maritime industry.

2 березня 2026 року Комітет зон воєнних дій (WOAC) Міжнародного переговорного форуму (IBF) у зв'язку з військовим конфліктом в Ормузькій протоці та прилеглому регіоні ухвалив рішення про продовження дії переліку зон воєнних дій, високого та підвищеного ризику. Відповідні компенсації для екіпажів залишатимуться чинними до 23 березня 2026 року.

2 березня 2026 року Профспілка робітників морського транспорту України звернулася до міжнародних організацій, судновласників та їх об'єднань, на суднах яких діють колективні угоди ПРМТУ, з офіційним листом щодо різкого загострення військової ситуації в районі Ормузької протоки та прилеглих акваторіях і портах Близького Сходу. Ракетні та дронові атаки, а також удари по портовій інфраструктурі та комерційних суднах створюють реальну й безпосередню загрозу для життя та здоров’я моряків.

У зв’язку з повідомленнями про ракетні удари поблизу порту Абу-Дабі, зокрема поблизу круїзного лайнеру німецької компанії TUI Cruises під угодою ver.di, та загостренням безпекової ситуації в регіоні Близького Сходу, Профспілка робітників морського транспорту України направила лист-запит німецькій профспілці ver.di.
