Иногда суда компании CMA CGM продаются, и их покупателями становятся разного рода судоходные компании, не имеющие никакого к CMA CGM отношения, однако оставляющие новоприобретенному судну старое название. Так и в этом случае: греческая компания Technomar приобрела судно CMA CGM Berlioz и оставила ему старое имя.

The Port of Southampton has been awarded ‘Port of the Year’ at this year’s global Seatrade Cruise Awards held in Miami.

Today, the MTWTU Chairman Oleg Grygoriuk, together with foreign partners - Susana Pereira-Ventura, Head of agreements unit ITF FOC campaign, ver.di, and Thomas Mendrzik, Workers’ Council Chairman, Container Terminal Altenwerder GmbH, HHLA, visited the "Container Terminal Odessa", a subsidiary of the German logistics holding Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA).

An ITF inspector was physically assaulted by a ship’s Master in an unprecedented attack. The assault happened onboard a vessel which was being investigated by the Inspectorate of the ITF for failing to comply with safety regulations, and for apparent irregularities in crew pay and conditions. The company is a well-known European shipowner, with their vessel flagged to landlocked Luxemburg.

Today, at the Dockers' Seminar organized by Marine Transport Workers' Trade Union of Ukraine and German trade union ver.di, the participants discussed modern automated cargo handling technologies in seaports and requirements for the training of port workers.

4 октября Одесский окружной административный суд вынес решение по делу по иску украинского моряка о признании противоправными и отмене решений ГКК ИПДМ об отказе в подтверждении квалификации. Правовую помощь моряку на всех этапах оспаривания результатов ГКК оказывали специалисты ПРМТУ.

Одной из первоочередных задач Профсоюза работников морского транспорта Украины является продвижение украинских моряков на морском рынке труда и увеличение количества качественных рабочих мест для них.

On 28 September, the World Maritime University (WMU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITF-affiliated Marine Transport Workers’ Trade Union of Ukraine (MTWTU), the largest national maritime trade union in Ukraine representing over 50 thousand seafarers and maritime cadets.

The Trade Union received an application from the wife of a seafarer who was detained by the Egyptian customs authorities for having a prohibited item in his luggage.

According to the ITFShipBeSure resource, seafarers began to receive job offers on Facebook from Captain Alex Scala profile for work on cruise liners, including ships of the MSC company.
