Ukrainian Maritime Forum

The Marine Transport Workers’ Trade Union of Ukraine, with the support of the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) and the State Service for maritime, inland waterway transport and shipping of Ukraine, has the honor to announce the Ukrainian Maritime Forum.

The main topic of the Forum “Ukrainian Seafarers – your professional partners for safe navigation”


The Forum aims to provide all maritime stakeholders with a vision of the future sustainable development of Ukraine as a key provider of highly qualified, motivated and talented maritime professionals, as well as a future-oriented maritime economy open to investment in maritime education, research and development, maritime digital technologies and other maritime sectors.


The forum is also dedicated to the International Day of the Seafarers, which is celebrated annually on June 25.


The Forum will be attended by officials from Ukrainian government agencies, including Mr. Yevhenii Ihnatenko, the Head of State Service for Maritime, Inland Waterway Transport and Shipping of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Mr. Олег ITF Ukraine Grygoriuk, the MTWTU Chairman, Vice President of the International Federation of Shipmasters' Associations and the IMO Goodwill Ambassador in Ukraine.


Participation in the Forum has already been confirmed by permanent representatives of a number of states to the IMO, representatives of leading shipowners and their associations, trade unions and charitable organizations of seafarers.
