All-Ukrainian Trade Unions Veche

On the 16th of January, 2020, the open All-Ukraininan Trade-Unions Veche was held in Kyiv. It was attended by over 60 thousand local trade union organizations from all the country, which have been delegated by 7 million trade unions members.


The MTWTU delegation was leaded by the MTWTU Chairman Michael Kirieiev.

This major meeting was organized in order to to protest against the ongoing socio-economic reforms. Namely, it was about a government new draft labor law, which violates the provisions of the ILO conventions and contradicts the European Social Charter.

The unions urge the President of Ukraine to withdraw the draft law from the Ukrainian Parliament and to start developing the new fair labor reform together with unions and employers, in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine and the international obligations, and also with the participation of experts from the International Labor Organization.

The All-Ukrainian Trade Unions Veche participants have adopted the Resolution, which was transferred to the office if the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, to the Ukrainian Parliament, and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
