Studies and Lives of Ukrainian cadets at the Lithuanian Maritime Academy

Navigators, mechanics, and electrical engineers, who, for half a year, have been studying at the Lithuanian Maritime Academy, have quickly adjusted to the new university and country.

Young people owe it to the university administration and the entire team. By the way, professors are content with the Ukrainian seafarers' level of training and their diligence. At the same time, cadets have time for not only studying but also volunteering. They consider their duty not only to learn but also to support Ukraine.

We would like to remind you: as part of the joint project of ITF SEAFARERS' TRUST, MTWTU, KSMA, and the Lithuanian Maritime Academy, 50 cadets from Ukraine obtained the opportunity to study abroad and receive diplomas of European standard.

Since future seafarers have different specialties and qualifications, the training programs vary accordingly. For instance, 24 cadets are currently on practice voyages, gaining the necessary experience; from the 1st of September, they will join the educational process. Other cadets already have the required qualifications, so they started offline training in January.

In addition, three cadets have already completed their studies at the end of 2022. They successfully defended their diplomas and started their careers in various global companies.
