Travel requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic

The International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) has developed a circular to its affiliates with information regarding travel requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thus, it is reported that the current travel regulations can be found on the website of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) at the link: https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/world.php

In addition, the document contains the reference to the instructions of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), where the recommendation of wearing a mask became an obligation, thus, wearing a mask is mandatory on board. This and other useful information for air travelers can be found at the following link: https://www.iata.org/en/youandiata/travelers/healt...

With regard to vaccination of seafarers, the ITF informs of taking all possible measures to ensure that seafarers have priority vaccination if it becomes an essential requirement for travel. In addition, the ITF is currently finalizing an explanatory note on vaccination to provide more information to seafarers.
