GMT and IMEC joint project on facilitating crew changes

IMEC has partnered with Global Marine Travel (GMT) to amalgamate the shipping industry’s crew travel requirements to produce enough volume for airlines to bring idle aircrafts into operation.

Global Marine Travel LLC (GMT) is a global marine travel management company. Operating from their Headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, they operate several major hubs in the US and Philippines with additional offices in Mumbai, Singapore, Dubai, Ukraine and the UK, GMT is well versed in managing large crew movements and maintains excellent airline relationships with over 100 marine contracts.

GMT has begun with the routes where traffic has already started, or that is expected to start based on airport/border restrictions easing. Based on need, GMT will then organize blocks of seats on scheduled carriers, seek extra sections or larger aircraft on routes, and can even organize chartered flights.

Notably the GMT team is acting on the latest information available, and there are of course no guarantees the borders will open simultaneous with flight blocks becoming available.
