For many years, the Union has been actively involved in the development of youth policy and has consistently worked to engage young workers in the union movement, helping to expand their opportunities and strengthen their voice at national and international levels. The MTWTU took part in a meeting of the Youth Committee of the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF).
Participation in the event provided an opportunity to represent the interests of young Ukrainian transport workers, as well as to adopt best international practices and implement modern approaches to working with youth.
Supporting youth as the driving force behind the modern union movement and the future of the labour sector is one of the key priorities of the international trade union community and the MTWTU. Uniting, developing and strengthening the role of youth remain important areas of activity, including the creation of youth networks, the exchange of experience, skills development and the implementation of innovative approaches to trade union work.
