Today in Kyiv, at the premises of the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ULIE), the Marine Transport Workers’ Trade Union of Ukraine and the Association of shipbuilders of Ukraine “Ukrsudprom” signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The document was signed by MTWTU Chairman Oleg Grygoriuk and the Head of “Ukrsudprom”, Sergii Gurskyi. Anatoliy Kinakh, President of the ULIE, attended the event.

The Memorandum defines the main areas of cooperation and sets out the parties’ joint approach to the development of Ukraine’s maritime sector. In particular, it focuses on combining efforts to effectively represent the interests of workers in the sector, strengthening social dialogue, and coordinating positions on key issues relating to the sector’s development.

The agreements provide for joint events, the exchange of expertise and the coordination of actions in practical areas that are important for both workers and companies in the sector.

Expanding the partnership at the national level strengthens the MTWTU’s position as an influential representative of maritime transport workers and a responsible participant in professional dialogue within the sector.
