Seafarers, Stay Alert! Captain Alex Scala is a Fraudster

According to the ITFShipBeSure resource, seafarers began to receive job offers on Facebook from Captain Alex Scala profile for work on cruise liners, including ships of the MSC company.

Further, the communication continues in one of the messengers: the fraudster asks to send an ID scan, sends a form to fill in, then offers to pay for obtaining a visa. After the money transfer, Captain Alex Scala stops communicating with the seafarers and blocks their phone numbers.

The ITF and MTWTU remind seafarers to be very careful of any “lucrative” job offer on the Internet. Unfortunately, these are often fraudsters who have only criminal intent to get hold of money.
