Video conference with the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine

On March 29, 2021, a meeting between the representatives of crewing companies, higher maritime educational institutions and officials of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine took place via video conference.

There, the head of the Ukrainian Maritime Development Center Sergii Kazantsev acted as a Moderator. The MTWTU was represented by Oleg Grygoryuk, the Union’s First Vice Chairman.

The main subject of the discussion was the draft order of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which provide for the introduction of a computer testing for seafarers when confirming qualification in the State Qualification Commissions.

The MTWTU insists on revising the situation in the sphere of seafarers’ training and certification.
