MTWTU reported on HIV prevention work

Preventing the infection of HIV among transport workers is one of the main areas of ITF' great attention.

The 44th ITF Congress, brought together about 2,600 members, has become an excellent platform for the exchange of experience in this direction between trade unions. During the Congress, the Wellbeing Kiosk is constantly working - a place where one can receive materials on social welfare of members of the International Transport Workers' Federation. Also, everyone can learn the experience of ITF affiliates on raising awareness about HIV among the members.

Marine Transport Workers' Trade Union of Ukraine presented a report of 4 years work experience in this direction, alongside with a Medical Guide for Seafarers, developed under the ITF.
