Meetings with practicing doctors for seafarers were organized together with the International Labour Organization.
The participants discussed current topics of seafarers'' health and methods of preventing infectious diseases.
"It is a really relevant subject because many people do not know many things, such as how the disease is transmitted and that the treatment of such diseases is free of charge. The topics of ignoring people with such a diagnosis and prejudiced attitudes toward them were also raised. The speaker explained everything in a very accessible and detailed manner. It is nice that even in circumstances of martial law, you hold such seminars," the bosun Denys Shapovalov said.
